Greetings All

Today, there was an adult KRIDER'S Red-tailed Hawk at the NW corner of County Line Rd and Hwy 119, likely the same bird that bred at Sandstone and has been seen around Union, across the street in Weld

Nearby, along the railroad tracks that cross County Line Rd (also known as Weld Co Rd 1), about 1/8 of a mile from Weld County, there was a Western Scrub-Jay

Yesterday, at Valmont, not much luck with gulls, as they all landed directly between me and the sun. Prior to the gull's arrival, with better light, I had > 1200 Common Mergs, about a dozen RB Mergs, 12 DC Cormorants, a handful of Western Grebes, and an immature TUNDRA SWAN. 

Birding around Windsor (town) yesterday, Sean and Meghan Walters and I had two type-5 Red Crossbills (maybe as many as 8), and 5-10 each Mtn Chickadees and RB Nuts plus 3 Brown Creepers. This all in 2 hours. One wonders what might be hiding there. 

Gulls have departed the Larimer County Landfill as apparently roost sites (i.e., open water) has vanished.
