Looking more closely at 3 "Mallards" in Boulder Creek just west of Eben Fine park, I was surprised to see that one of them was actually a male Wood Duck, a species I'd never seen in this end of the creek before. I rarely see Mallards in the creek west of 6th St., but a pair has been around for the last week, maybe looking for a nesting site.
