All:
The Wood Stork in Broomfield is on the move, between Alexx / Michael's Pond, and Catfish / Bullhead Pond in Westminster. The bird made these moves at least twice now - once at about 3 pm on 9-11-25 and again this morning at about 8:30 am (9-12-25).
I suspect it's getting ready to move south.
As mentioned previously, Catfish / Bullhead Pond is only a short distance away (and not named on any maps). Park in Amherst Park near Pecos and 130th. There is an asphalt parking area on the south side of the park near a bright red fire plug. Plenty of parking. Walk the dirt path near the trailer park going south - you'll be at the pond in 2-3 minutes.
At Catfish Pond: 32 snowy egrets, 1 great blue heron, and mallards, plus the wood stork. Watch for migratory flocks of chipping and clay-colored sparrows, as well as the occasional wood duck in the pond.
At Alexx and Michael's Pond the pelican flock grew to 49-50 birds yesterday evening, along with killdeers, mallards, and snowy egrets. There are still Say's Phoebe's and Western Wood Pewee's near the pond.
