Good morning everyone,

I decided to squeeze in a quick morning trip today to the west side of my patch along the Bear Creek Greenbelt in between Estes Street and Old Kipling in the hopes of seeing the Eastern Phoebe that has been present the past couple of days. No luck on the phoebe, but I did find a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker in a stand of pines on the trail just west of Estes Street and on the south border of the parking lot for Lakewood Parks maintenance facility. More than a few of you may remember this as the same stand of pines a YBSA took up in last January.

Other birds of note while I was out were a flyover male Redhead (not super common in the greenbelt) and a couple of Pine Siskins.

It's starting to feel like spring out there!

Good birding,
