Hi all

Visited Washington State all last week--have two birds I need help with.

Grouse species (Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge (northeast Washington)

Accipiter species in flight, distance photos (River Valley State Park, Spokane)

Nice!

I grew up back east where they were fairly common. As soon as I saw the face shot, I knew what it was, but I didn’t actually realize they ranged that far west.
