Bald Eagle- 1 adult on South Platte River near Lake George on 1-31

Northern Goshawk- 1 adult on Feb.2, new species for yard area

Northern Harrier- 1 in Colorado Springs on 1-2

Northern Pygmy-Owl- Report from Florissant area from last summer.

Belted Kingfisher- 1 on South Platte River near Lake George on 1-31

Downy Woodpecker- 1 on 1-3, 1-13, 1-26, 1-29

Hairy Woodpecker, drumming on 1-12

Steller’s Jay- 7 on 1-22 after snowstorm, 11 on 1-26

Black-billed Magpie- flock of 10 on 1-26

Clark’s Nutcracker- 1 on Lovell Gulch Trail on 1-28

Golden-crowned Kinglet- 1 on Rainbow Gulch Trail, 1-14, 2 on Lovell Gulch Trail, 1-28

Townsend’s Solitaire- singing on 1-10

Black-capped Chickadee- 1 on 1-5, 1-16, 1-23, 1-25

Brown Creeper- 1 on 1-30

Dark-eyed Junco- Pink-sided and White-winged thru the month, Slate-colored on 1-4, 1-16, 1-21, 1-22, 1-26 and Oregon on 1-12

Pine Siskin- 2 on 1-11, 1 on 1-12, 1 on 1-16, 2 on 1-18, vocalizing more on 1-16, 2 on 1-19, 2 on 1-22, 2 on 1-26

Cassin’s Finch- Daily flocks of 10-20 birds, high count 26 on 1-5

Rosy-Finch- A couple reports this winter during storms, Cripple Creek Area

Pine Grosbeak- A couple reports this winter during storms, Cripple Creek Area

House Sparrow- 1M on 1-15
