A quick search of Cobirds didn't reveal any Dickcissel sightings yet this year. So here you go.
Yesterday, 20 Jun, 1030am, there was a singing male along the east-west irrigation ditch in the tall cottonwoods
. This is near the same spot as in previous years.
(Note that Ted Floyd heard one in the same area on his big day which he mentions in his blog post which I just read before posting this sighting thinking that he may have had a Dickcissel. I was out of the country for two weeks so yesterday was my first day back at Teller.)

On June 17, there were multiple Dickcissels singing in an alfalfa field directly east of the Brush RV Campground (Morgan Co).

Actually, *eight* of them there. The place is hopping with Dickcissels. The first 2013 Boulder County detection of which I'm aware was by Beth Partin, back on June 10th at Teller Farms (per eBird). The first for the state was an early bird on private property, Baca County, May 1st, recorded by Jane Stulp.

You can get all this info by playing around with the "Explore Data" tab in eBird.

For example:

Cool, eh? How much of that is biological reality? And how much of it is folks looking for FOY Dickcissels right around now?

Teller definitely is supporting a bustling population! I heard many a song there on Sunday, 6/24 but only saw one Dickcissel singing from atop a fencepost.

He was too far away to get an excellent photo, but I did what I could: http://i.imgur.com/uh8AfkZ.jpg
