BLUE-WINGED WARBLER continues at Welchester Tree Grant Park, Jefferson Co. on May 27

This continuing rarity was heard and briefly seen from 10:30 til 11:30 AM at the "same spot," just beyond the east park boundary, where the drainage exits the park. 
Once you arrive, you can be sure that you are in the correct place, as the grass has been trampled down by the boots of beaming birders. Otherwise the park seems to be about as lively as a flat rabbit on a Wyoming interstate.

Cyndy Johnson, Doug Witt and I saw the blue winged warbler at the same area, around the Russian olives, at 4:15.

While at the park today from about 11:30am until 1pm the Blue-winged warbler was heard and seen briefly in a large cottonwood that was right behind me when I faced the half dead russian olive trees.
