Started the morning with two striking adult males - a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher - two typically early-arriving migrants coming through right on schedule.  Overall, a pretty standard early spring day, with 13 new birds banded and two returns from prior years:

Black-capped Chickadee 1
House Wren 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 1
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, hybrid 1
Song Sparrow 2 new, 2 returns (1banded in 2018, 1 in 2021)
White-crowned Sparrow, Gambel's 5

We are open 6 mornings per week, closed on Mondays.  Registration is required to visit on the weekends - there are three 1 hour sessions, starting at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30.  Go here to register.  There are school groups every week day, arriving about 9:30.  Individuals may drop by early mornings during the week although there are groups visiting early on some days.
