The WHIMBREL reported yesterday by Steve Mlodinow on the northeast side of Jackson Reservoir was still there this afternoon.  It was on some nice mudflats that have developed just north of where the dam ends.  It was visible with binoculars / scope from Road 5, looking west through a gap in the trees.  There isn't a good place to park at that location, so use your best judgment.

On the north shore, a RUDDY TURNSTONE was foraging this afternoon.  It was on the rocky point about 500 yards east-southeast of the parking area for the Jackson State Wildlife area.  This wildlife area is accessed from Road 4 on the north side of the lake.  There are actually two parking areas, and I'm referring to the eastern one -- at the bend in the access road.
