There’s still time to join the 2023 Colorado Birding Challenge. If it’s the competition that gets your excitement up or the just the fun of birding your way, the challenge has a place for you. Competitive teams will be fanning out over many Colorado counties tomorrow, May 20, to find as many species as they can and raise funds to support conservation of Pinyon Jays. With a new option opened this year, non-competing teams can break out the spotting scopes and binoculars any day of this month in the county of their choice. Some teams may even get out on multiple days.
Spring migrants are moving through the states and it should be exciting to see what new feathered gems our recent storms have brought our way.
