Today’s wet weather brought some migrants to Empire in Clear Creek County:
From US 40 in the center of town, go south on Main Street. There was a Solitary Sandpiper at the first pond on the left.
At Minton Park, numerous sparrows were on the grass in the ball field and around the playground. In addition to Chipping and Vesper Sparrows, there were 4 Brewer’s and one Lark. In with the sparrows was a Sage Thrasher. Hunkering down in the center of the ball field were 12 Horned Larks and two Mourning Doves.
