13 Sandhill Cranes

While walking North Rim Trail south of Niwot Road bordering Boulder Valley Ranch and Boulder Reservoir.

At 6:15 this evening. Heard their primeval call first.

They were flying fairly low southwardly, then to the east, then to the west, then to the north.

I got in my car and drove around for an hour listening and looking to see where they may have decided to roost for the night. No luck.

Did hear one Great horned Owl and see another.
