Pomarine Jaeger at Adobe Creek Reservoir continues

Birders,

I went out again to Adobe Creek Reservoir (Kiowa and Bent Counties)
yesterday afternoon with Stan Oswald, and we secured pictures of the
adult light-phase Pomarine Jaeger I'd found earlier in the day. It was
in the same location, on the east side of the point of land jutting
north into the reservoir in the SW corner of the remaining lake.

I checked again for the presence of the jaeger just before noon today
(6/19). It was in the exact same location where it was seen twice
yesterday, this time swimming just offshore. The best place to look for
the bird is the bay immediately east of the north end of the dredging
project, conspicuous by the presence of two backhoes and lots of newly
moved dirt. For county listers, you will be standing in Bent County when
looking, and the bird will probably be in Kiowa County.

I can report that roads leading to the lake from either the east or
south (Bent County Road 10) are entirely passable even for passenger
cars, and only have a few barely muddy spots in the immediate vicinity
of Adobe Creek Reservoir. There has been a lot of rain (almost four
inches) in Las Animas and at John Martin Reservoir the past six days,
and some dirt roads elsewhere in the area are still impassable.
