Hi, everybody.
Just a quick note here that the deadline for proposals for funding from Colorado Field Ornithologists (CFO) is fast approaching. CFO has funds for field ornithological research on Colorado birds and their habitats. These grants have enjoyed a high "success" rate: timely and scientifically compelling work of interest to birders, resource managers, and of course ornithologists. If you've even been to a CFO convention or read Colorado Birds, you know what I'm talking about: The results of CFO-funded research frequently appear in print in Colorado Birds (and in other journals) and are presented annually at CFO conventions (and in other venues).
And an overview of CFO-funded research:
The deadline for this cycle is Friday, Dec. 4, 2015.
Please feel free to share this post with relevant agencies, nonprofits, and of course university biology and ecology departments. CFO research grants may be made to researchers with or without institutional affiliations.
