Today's public banding day went well, with most visitors arriving early enough to see plenty of birds.  We ended up banding 13 new birds and 5 recaptures, including one return from a previous season.  For some reason, Spotted Towhees came out in force today and we ended up with six.  We also got one new species, an Audubon's Warbler.  Though we were worried about high winds, the weather held out until around 11.

Audubon's Warbler 1 (FOS)
Juniper Titmouse 1
White-crowned Sparrow (Gambel's) 6 (plus two banded this season)
Spotted Towhee 5 (plus one return from a previous season)
Bewick's Wren 1 bird banded this season
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1 bird banded this season

I'm banding at Connected Lakes State Park every M-F until October 11th!  If you would like to see some birds feel free to stop by between 7:30 and 11:00, the earlier the better.
