Thanks to a heads up from Sean, I saw a stunning male Black-throated Blue Warbler in the middle of PERC, very near where a Tennessee Warbler was seen last November. Josh Bruening was there and he saw it also. He was rather elusive and relatively quite, I heard only a few call notes, had one quick look and Josh had only a single viewing after an hour of searching. When I was there I did not see much else bird-wise, Blue Jays, Robins, a Chickadee and a Horde of Chipping Sparrows. Hopefully , it will stick around for a little while. By the way, since May 29 last year when I saw a Worm-eating Warbler, I have seen 28! species of warblers in and around Fort Collins in one years time. I think that's a remarkable number for the front range, so I am remarking.
