Tennessee Warbler, Eastern Phoebe Fountain Creek (El Paso County) 9/22

Hi Folks,

Walked around Fountain Creek RP Nature Center area this morning for a few hours, and there were several good birds out, particularly later in the morning:

Tenessee Warbler - staying very low in vegetation just along the irrigation ditch just south of Rice's Pond. This bird was hanging around with a very large mixed flock of birds working the trees and shrubs along the ditch, including Yellow-rumped Warblers, many Wilson's, an Orange-crowned Warbler, Warbling Vireos, Western Tanager, Nuthatches, Chickadees, Lincoln's Sparrows. It came out of the vegetation to give a nice good look before taking off up the ditch. I refound it briefly before it headed off towards the crack willows near the Gazebo at the south end of Rice's Pond.

Eastern Phoebe - along the path that wraps around the northwest section of the nature center area. It perched on several of the small trees along this path and then took out over the weedy field there. Seen by Jon Rouse and myself.

Also around were Western Kingbirds, Eastern Kingbirds, singing Common Yellowthroats, a Yellow Warbler, calling Virginia's Rails, and Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers among others.
