Hi all --
It appears I was able to capture a photo of the Field Sparrow today, but not a good one. I think the pale gray face and orange on crown and behind eye are evident enough to be conclusive, though. The bird was foraging with a large group of Chipping Sparrows in some sort of fallout behavior along the roadside at Lake Loop. Unfortunately, the Chipping Sparrows were moving through pretty quick, as was the Field Sparrow, so it may have already moved on. Good luck to whoever looks!
