Just a few minutes ago, I had the pleasure of watching an adult Golden Eagle perching on a tall pole over a prairie dog field; and then soaring across the field-- a disappointment for us both, it would seem (he failed to catch anything, and he flew before I could try a digiscoped picture). Still- always a treat.

The location was Roxborough Park Road, the unpaved section bewteen Titan road and Sharptail Ridge open space.

Might have been the Goldens that nested in the backcountry areas of Highlands Ranch. They successfully fledged two Goldens.

There are also Goldens that have an aerie in Roxborough State Park :)
