As you come south on WCR 43 from Evans there is oil field operations on east with a flooded area that is attracting some birds:
  • Lesser Yellowlegs
  • Greater Yellowlegs
  • Black-necked Stilt
  • American Avocet
  • Killdeer
  • Canada Goose

Latham Reservoir and Marsh:

  • Black Tern
  • Forster's Tern - 2
  • Lesser Yellowlegs
  • Greater Yellowlegs
  • Black-necked Stilt - about two dozen
  • Snowy Egret - 15+
  • Wilson's Phalarope - 8
  • Red-necked Phalarope - 2

WCR 42 Ponds

  • White-faced Ibis - 7
  • American Avocet
  • Greater Yellowlegs
  • 1,000+ Franklin's Gull--"no kidding and probably underestimated"
