I found this patch of feathers in my yard about 3:30 this afternoon. There was one other very small patch of feathers in another spot and two small bloods spots. I am stumped.

Agree with Tony, it looks like the results of an attack on a white pigeon by a predator like a Cooper's Hawk or a falcon (I saw something like this a few years ago when a Prairie Falcon visited my neighborhood. All the gray pigeons it could have preyed on....but noooo....it had to eat the pretty white one. :(

Perhaps a situation similar to this female Merlin feeding on a Eurasian Collared-Dove.
