Hey all you waterlogged compadres!

This evening I was watching it snow/sleet/slush and monitoring my feeders, I saw something that was bigger than a House Finch but smaller than a robin...hmmm, Green-tailed Towhee?!? Yes!!! Hey there GTTO!! Lifer for me as well as new feeder bird!! So stoked! Made my night! He's still here, been here about 45 minutes, stocking up on some seed and shelter!

See ya out there for fallout tomorrow!

Green-tailed towhee at my feeder this AM.
Broad-tailed hummer eating well.
Cooper's hawk landed on feeder posts for 60 seconds, left empty-billed.

Brenda and I saw ten Green-tailed Towhees at Barr Lake SP in Adams County this morning.  They are coming through the Front Range lowlands in unusually large numbers this Spring.

Brewer's Sparrows are also present in above average numbers.
