These last two days have been great for banding here at Connected Lakes, both with a first-of-season bird. While we did not have any scheduled education activities, several members of the public stopped by to see the banding.
We banded 14 birds on 10/6 with 3 recaptures, and banded 21 birds on 10/7 with 11 recaptures. 21 of those birds were Bushtits - which all flew into 4 separate nets 2 hours into this morning's banding.
