Hi

Spring migration is one of the most exciting times of the year for birding in Colorado.
One way we  are made aware of the progress of migrations is by noting the wide variety of species as well as the volume of migrating birds through our state via  Cobirds.
A rare species is a rather subjective label, rare to one birder is not so rare to another birder depending on season and location. We all have a choice to chase or not to chase or just  observe the action on Cobirds.

I agree with Bob, that it is useful to observe what is being seen around the state, even if I am not planning to chase anything very far. But if some bird is seen "local" to my area, it gives me a choice.

Also, the RBA is a concise compilation of what everyone has seen. I always appreciate seeing whats happening in one place and not have too many messages to review.

And thanks to the RBA compilers. We take it for granted too often but wanted to say I appreciate what you all do.

I agree,
As birding locally is still uncontested as being allowed and safe, RBA can be used to see local birds in the area. Restricting info rarely makes a situation better.

This might be a good time to do some Fantasy Birding - http://fantasybirding.com/ - maybe you don't travel to see that rare bird three counties away but see if you can snag it for your Colorado Big Year list in fantasy birding...
