Barr Lake State Park. Lots of walking – at least five miles – on all sides
of the lake, including the banding station.
Waterton,
downstream. 4-5 mile hike. Wear long pants (not shorts) due to
bare-leg-unfriendly plants such as poison ivy, thistles, and knapweed.
Chatfield State Park
Barr Lake periphery. This trip, mostly driving, does not involve much
walking and will be good for people with limited mobility or stamina.
