Greetings
Below is a link to my "Hawai'i Album" from my recent trip to the Big Island. Included are photos of 32 of the 62 species of birds that I saw while there, but there are also photos of Emerald Cockroach Wasp, Yellow Crazy Ant and 2 endemic species of dragons/damsels. I kind of wimped out on the botany, though may add more. I tried, for each species, to put in notes of interest (when introduced for non-native birds, etc). Some of the insects remain unidentified, and I will soon try to reach the head of entomology at U of H this week for help. Other IDs are likely correct, but still tentative.
In any case, I hope that you will like, and if planning to go to the Big Island soon, may find these notes of some help.
Plus eBird. Don't forget eBird, which was a big help in planning where to go.
