Northern Goshawk- 1 adult on 2-2, new species for yard area

Scaled Quail- Brush Hollow Reservoir SWA, Penrose on 2-15

Belted Kingfisher- S. Platte River near Lake George on 2-17

Eurasian Collared-Dove- Brush Hollow Reservoir SWA, Penrose on 2-15

Downy Woodpecker- 1M on 2-14, 1M on 2-16, reports from Lake George area, 1 on 2-20, 2-22

Raven- Ravens here have unusual vocalizations suggesting Chihuahuan, Brush Hollow Reservoir SWA, Penrose on 2-15

Black-capped Chickadee- couple sightings, singing on 2-28

Mountain Chickadee- singing on 2-23

Mountain Bluebird- Small flock near Brush Hollow Reservoir SWA, Penrose on 2-15

Townsend’s Solitaire- Singing, Brush Hollow Reservoir SWA, Penrose on 2-15

American Dipper- S. Platte River near Lake George on 2-17, singing, along South Platte River near Lake George on 2-27, singing

Red-breasted Nuthatch- Highline Canal Trail in Englewood, 2-25

Pygmy Nuthatch- Flock of 10 on 2-19 and 2-26, small flock on Highline Canal Trail in Englewood on 2-25

Brown Creeper- 1 on 2-28

Canyon Towhee- Brush Hollow Reservoir SWA, Penrose on 2-15

Dark-eyed Junco- White-winged, Oregon and Pink-sided seen thru month, Slate-colored last seen on 2-6

Evening Grosbeak- 3M on 2-21, 2-26

Pine Siskin- A few around all month

Cassin’s Finch- started singing on 2-12, daily flock of up to 20, mostly of first year birds. As the month went on many of the first year birds started to show reddish plumage.

House Finch- singing on 2-6

Rosy Finches- reports in winter south of Florissant

Common Redpoll- 1M, new species for yard area, from 2-12 thru 2-22
