Friends,
Few people did more for birds behind the scenes than Steve Bloom. He was Vice Chairman of Bird Conservancy of the Rockies and a founding member and President of Colorado Audubon. A business psychologist, Steve lent his considerable brilliance, energy, and tact to leadership of many varied organizations. He especially loved helping people who were dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitats. He enjoyed seeing birds also, having traveled to 34 countries to see over 3,000 world birds.
Steve’s detailed obituary is in the April 2 (Sunday’s) Denver Post. Look for the picture of a birder doing what he loved!
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, April 10 at 2:00 p.m. at First Plymouth Congregational Church, 3501 South Colorado Boulevard, on the southwest corner of the Hampden intersection.
