Com Nighthawk taking a drink at Terry Lake (Boulder Co) 8/25

Hi Everyone,

 

I was at the west shore of Terry Lake in Longmont this evening 8/25. I was surprised to find a Common Nighthawk flying low over the lake, then dipping down and taking a drink in the manner of a Barn Swallow. There were also mosquitoes about. One that I know of didn’t survive her drink from my face.
