Midterm will be available at

www.cs.sfu.ca/~ashriram/Courses/CS295/midterm2020.pdf

Date: Oct 23rd. Time: Class hours.

  • No sharing of notes/slides/textbook between students. NO SMARTPHONES.
  • You can only use written material and handouts from this course.  
  • HAVE ONLY HAD THE BROWSER TAB FOR THE MIDTERM OPEN AND HAVE NOT VIEWED OR VISITED ANY LINKS OUTSIDE OF THE EXAM.
  • YOU CANNOT ALTER OUR ANSWER AFTER ANSWERING THE QUESTION.  SO WORK OUT ANSWER ON PIECE OF PAPER BEFORE CLICKING ONLINE.
  •  NO PARTIAL POINTS PER INDIVIDUAL QUESTION. 
  • YOU WILL NEED TO ANSWER COMPLETELY TO BE AWARDED FULL POINTS.
Exam will be proctored using zoom.

  • HAVE ONLY HAD THE BROWSER TAB FOR THE MIDTERM OPEN AND HAVE NOT VIEWED OR VISITED ANY LINKS OUTSIDE OF THE EXAM.
Does this mean that we cannot access class notes from another tab on the browser? Also our class videos also not allowed since they are written?

Yes; that is correct. Only written/printed notes.

For the “Exam will be proctored using zoom ” that means we need to turn on the camera and screen monitoring? Because my desktop computer does not have a camera, please let me know if i need it, thank you.
