Healing the Planet: inspiring video about ecosystem restoration

Dear all,

We have been grappling with grim and demoralizing human failures.  Here is a ten minute video that I found refreshing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FR-5F9x-fmo  It is about the restoration of arid environments through the relocation of beavers and other simple interventions.  This is related to what is called rewilding.  Combined with the fact that Earth's human population is projected to begin declining sharply near the end of this century, it makes me confident that humanity and most our planet's biodiversity are going to survive the current ecological crisis, including global warming.  The relocation of beavers to restore wetlands is occurring in many places besides North America, including Britain, continental Europe, and Asia.
