Question about the data size limit of the video compression track

    For example,the 0.5M data size limit that we calculated is 18750000 bytes(500000*10*30/8),which is different from the actual data limit size  19910008 bytes as shown below.  
     How is 19910008 bytes calculated? Is there anything wrong with our calculation method?

Hello Jinchi,

Due to some sampling issues we had with creating the initial dataset a few years ago, there is not exactly 10 seconds of video.
In fact, many of the videos are a fraction of a second longer than 10 seconds. In the end, you end up with roughly 303.8026123 seconds for the validation set.
For this calculation we are using base2 (so 2^20) instead of base10. We apologize for this inconvenience, but 

0.5*1024*1024*303.8026123/8 = 19910008

For the test phase we will be using 10^6 instead of 2^20 for a megabyte to be consistent to what we advertise on the website, and we apologize for the confusion in the validation phase.
