Notes from the 1/16/26 CLCN Meeting

Hi all -

Here are the meeting notes from the last CLCN meeting on 1/16/26, which was held at The Space and Cafe @ Arapahoe Libraries.  

Included are pictures of "The Space", as well as the Library Material Services department.  Staff in this department are responsible for receiving, cataloging and processing materials, overseeing and processing items through the central sorter and media hotel, collection development & maintenance, and lending services..

The Space & Cafe is now open to the public. This space features a cafe, coworking space, meeting rooms, and event space. It is designed to meet a growing demand for public meeting space, so feel free to come take a look and/or utilize the spaces offered.

Our next CLCN meeting will be held on April 17th, 2026.  If you would like to host this meeting at your library, please reach out to me.

Sounds like a meaty meeting!  So sorry I had to miss it. Thanks for sharing these notes.

Quick piece about space bookings at DPL - No library card required to book a study room but card is required to book a Community Room:

Community Rooms

• Library card is required.
• Intended for use by groups of at least four people.
• Can be reserved no less than 24 hours in advance of the reservation time, and up to 60 days prior to the proposed reservation date.

Study Rooms

• Library card is not required.
• Intended for use by one person up to the capacity of the specific room.
• Can be reserved up to seven days in advance for a maximum of 2 hours a day per individual/group.
