This is my high school.
There has been a very heated debate on the school’s Facebook page about it. The county where the school is located, Montgomery County, Maryland, is one of the more liberal counties in the US. As far as I am aware, there has just been some public discussion about this, such as the petition; neither the School Board nor the County Council are actively considering changing the name at the current time.
