I am so sad that no manufacturer or licensee of Chrome is making Chromebases anymore. This is what we have used for nearly 10 years for public access computing. One power cord, less heat generated, worked with our management/authentication platform, and never had a lick of trouble except when Google decided to implement AUE dates and stop updating these machines. I bet ours would work for another 6 years or more if we could keep them updated.
So I guess I need to look at Chromeboxes and separate monitors. Does anyone want to share what monitor brand they are using and some kind of mounting bracket to keep it all contained in the back? I just find it annoying that I can’t buy the configuration that I want. I have given up on the add-in-one that Acer was supposed to already have on the market. I thought that would have been the best of both worlds.
