Hi all,

Chrome version 77 comes with a number of accessibility fixes and improvements across platforms. Here are some of the notable updates in this milestone, with links to relevant bugs for reference.

Highlights

  • Automatic Clicks scrolling functionality

    • In Chrome OS version 76, we added a lot of new functionality to the accessibility feature Automatic Clicks. This feature can be helpful for users with motor or dexterity challenges who are not able to put pressure on the touchpad or mouse to click. Automatic Clicks makes it possible to simply hover over a given item, and Chrome OS will “click” it for you -- whether you want to left click, right click, click and drag, double click, and more. As of Chrome OS version 77, it’s now also possible to scroll a page or app by hovering over the feature’s controls.
