Who else got a ride in today?   What did you ride and how far / where?

I rode the mighty Yam XT550 around the blocks near home.  I now starts easier, but still doesn't idle well with the choke off.

I rode a vintage Panasonic single speed road bike from Ukie Village to UIC to bop around and take in the architecture and sculptures.  The bike seems fine, and has new pink pedals. 😊

I changed the fork oil and the motor oil in my XR650L and swapped the wheels from ice to dirt. Next up is the supermoto front brake conversion on Jennifer's DR650.

i rode the KTM 525 to my friend Maria's house to help de-winterize her ducati 400 scrambler and her drz400.  sometimes you just need someone there to tell you your gas tank is empty and thats why it runs like trash.  we took a nice ride from uptown,  down LSD, ripped lower wacker, then up Elston back to Irving park.  I tried to show her a great open lot for riding skills practice @ Rockwell and Irving park, Central Wire Co. some of you may know it.  Turns out we parking lot enthusiasts wore out our welcome, and now there is a keycode operated gate blocking entry to the lot.  sad.  We rode to montrose harbor and then split ways.  Kinda windy day for dual sports at highway speeds!

I went home and brazed up a small crack in the underside of the GS1100E fuel tank.  in the backyard, with no spontaneous combustion surprises.  thank you.

I was excited to finally have the combo of a warm day + no salt left on the roads.

The venerable R100RS fired up right away after months of neglect. Took it out for fresh gas and a cruise around the neighborhood, will have to bleed the front brakes... and hopefully will be commuting via moto again soon, although I see more rain, snow, and frigid temps in the near future. :(

For me this ends up being "maintenance season" - garage is a good temp, and the increasing outside temps are a good motivator to get sh-- done
