Hello,

We are trying to create a list of the number of gems per transcript. Is there some way to do this? I tried with kwal, but this doesn't seem to read a gem line since its treated like a header?

Any help would be great.

Thanks!
Janet

Janet,

Depending on what the Gem markers you use you can try the following commands:

For @G marker:

kwal -y +s\@G: filename.cha
freq -y +s\@G: filename.cha
uniq -y +s\@G:* filename.cha

For @Bg marker:

kwal -y +s\@Bg: filename.cha
freq -y +s\@Bg: filename.cha
uniq -y +s\@Bg:* filename.cha

Leonid.
