low volume with linked media

Hi everyone,

I have a group of CHAT files with linked media, but the sound is playing at an extremely low volume, even though the media files played just fine on other programs (audacity, praat, quicktime, etc.). I had the computer volume set all the way up and could barely hear the utterances via CHAT. Anyone experiencing the same issue and found a solution? I couldn't find any discussion on this, and would appreciate some pointers. Thanks!

Peitzu,

CHAT App does not have volume control. The volume is automatically set to maximum internally and user can control the volume through computer's volume control. 

If this is a bug, then I need more information about your system:

1. Are you using Mac or PC?

2. Which OS, i.e. Mac 10.15 or higher or lower, PC's windows 10, 11 or other?

3. Is your computer system fully updated to the latest version available?

4. Are you using the latest version of CHAT software?

5. Are you using audio or video media? Is it WAVE, MP3, MP4 or something else?

6. Can you put one media file, that pays at low volume, on a cloud where we can get it from for testing?
