hi all!

I am looking for either 2 person or single electric scooter to rent for the season. my dad is 95 and Chautauqua is is happy place.  I am trying to make it happen again this summer but we need a bit more support this year.

Hello Judy,

The Institution has purchased a new fleet of mobility scooters and increased our fleet to avoid any waitlists for scooters. We generally open up registration for scooters around June 1, but this year we are trying our best to move up the registration process earlier to May 1. An announcement will be made in the Chautauqua weekly newsletter shortly with dates and timelines. I am in the process of securing one or two tandem (two person) scooters as well that will be available for rental. I am hopeful that they will be available by the start of the season. Tandem scooters will only be made available for the use of those who are unable to operate one safely on their own and need an aide or family member to operate the double-user scooter. Please contact Linda Baglia at the Welcome Center at lba...@chq.org to be added to the scooter reservation list and she will communicate procedures for rental shortly. We will also have ten brand new wheelchairs and one "knee scooter" available for rental on a year-round basis.
