If you dont get adequate names, perhaps calling home real estate agents would get more.  Agents are often helpful in order to polish their business.  And they have likely run across multiple cases where sellers want to clear out a home en mass prior to closing.

   I vaguely recall a shop in Jamestown that took household items on consignment at high commission rates.  Used furniture , paintings, tools, TVs, books, and kitchenware bring almost no interest even at low prices and might as well be donated to Goodwill and such charities.  Antiques might sell.
