As a massage therapist, I get occasional emails asking me to make several appointments for a visiting group — for example, they may be planing to play golf (but it’s mid-winter here in the Snow Belt) — they never say where, but use “your town.”  They want the target person to help them transfer funds to pay for all these appointments, but will end up draining the target person’s account.

So if anyone wants to reserve a rental, don’t let them ask you for money — while this may seem like common sense, it must be working on some level because these emails and texts keep coming. I hear about them at least once/month.

I'm beginning the agree that email from Patty Marun is a scam.  She contacted me, through email, with the same statement.  I sent her a contract and she sent it back in Google Docs.  I couldn't open it and have not heard anything more from her. Claimed that there were 3 adults in the group.
