Dear all,

I thought I was reasonably tech savvy until I tried to navigate the CHQ website and hit some roadblocks the more savvy of you might help me with.

1.  I'm a traditional gate pass holder.  Am I correct that every single event, lectures and evening symphonies included, must be "pre-reserved" to attend?  If so, how do you pre-reserve a seat.  The site says to go to "my account" to do that but, when there, I found no link that allowed me pre-reserve anything.

2.  Do you know if you can preserve a seat for all traditional gate pass included events in one click or do you have to do that for every single day for every single event you want to attend?  That could take forever to go through every day for three or so events per day.  And then do it all over again for my wife.  Is there no way just to pre-reserve a seat for the whole season?

3.  On a somewhat unrelated note, I have two cousins I haven't seen in two years from the Erie area who we invited to dinner along with their two adult kids.  I see they can buy day passes at $25.00 apiece but they have to be out by 8 p.m.  They're just coming for dinner at 6:00 so obviously they can't linger due to this restriction, but is there some other pass (i.e. a dinner pass) they can buy just to come to my house?  $100 is a lot to pay just to come visit for a short meal.

I sure look forward to your help in figuring this out.  Thanks much.

It would be helpful for many of us to learn the answers to these great questions.

Dear Grapevine Friends,

Please find answers below to the questions posed here:

No, this is not correct.
  • Traditional Pass Holders need only reserve seats to those events where reserved seating is required -- all of which fall within the evening timeframe -- but not all evenings require a reserved seat.  All other events require only the Traditional Gate Pass for general admission to the vaccinated section of the Amphitheater.
  • Please find attached a PDF that lists all evening programs.  The column with the purple dots reflects the events that require a reservation. If that event also shares a red dot in the first column, then an extra ticket is also required.
  • There are no events for the first two weeks that require a separate ticket.  The first event requiring a separate ticket is July 16, Wynonna Judd.
  • Please take a moment to visit our vaccination verification table at the Colonnade to get your Traditional Gate Pass or Grounds Access Pass stamped for easy admission to the vaccinated section of the Amphitheater.  Bring your vaccination card (a photo of it or Excelsior pass also works), your photo ID and your gate pass.  If you are using only electronic tickets, we can provide a card for presentation at our venues.

There is no way to reserve seats to all events with "one click", but you don't have to do them all at one time.  Only one to three events per week require advance reservation and/or an extra ticket.  Here is a link to the page on the ticketing site where you can reserve seats and order tickets.  If you are an Iphone user, you can send the tickets to your Apple wallet (this must be done on the phone; the wallet functionality won't work on your Ipad or computer).  The website prompts you to click "buy", but for the TGP-included events, you will have a $0 price option.  There will be no charge for reserving base price seats for the included events.

Property owners continue to have the opportunity to use the 8-hour Resident Guest Pass for $10/pp.  Up to six of these can be issued per property per day.  There are no restrictions on the start time of these passes, and they may be stacked with an overnight pass for an additional $10.

The Destination Pass is a five-hour pass (8 am-1pm; Noon-5pm, or 5pm-10pm) and is intended for people who are patronizing our on-grounds restaurants, shops, salon, spa or Cinema (online ordering for this pass will be open 6/28/21). It may not be combined with other pass types and only one per person can be issued per day.  The Resident Guest Pass can be secured at the Ticket Office.  Attached is the program reference sheet.

If you wouldn't mind, would you all please send any responses or other questions to me directly at my chq.org email address?  I do not monitor my Gmail account regularly during the workday, and I wish to be as prompt as possible in responding to your questions.

With best regards,

Emily Morris

I did not want to go that bad so got no tickets. Would also like to know an easier way. Like no reserved seats.
