I have spent hours on this.
Stephen finally gave me the answer:
The web site is not working.
You can only use it if you are a returning member.
You have to send a $25.00 check to the clsc po box 28 and wait for them to cash it. Then you have to pay $10.00 at the bookstore and wait for the membership card to be processed.
Then you have to send them 30.00 more for membership or buy a life membership the cost of which is unknown.
Then you can go into the chq website and download
The 2024 application and fill it out and send it in.
At that time you can attach the list of the clsc books you have read and they will key them for you.
Do not call the bookstore, they have no answere.
Do not call the ticket office "       "        "       "
Do not call the information office "     "        "
I was told to call Quame but I knew he would have no answer.

I have the same question.

I have spoken to 3 people at clsc and 1 person at the institution about my inability to register for class of 2024. The clsc says it's an institution website problem. The institution says many people have called with the same issue and have told me to call Kwame to resolve the problem.
Can someone help me?

I’m thinking there is an app for the CLSC alumni association and something about joining and getting all that information. I’ll try to find out. Carol

Grapevine friends and members of our wonderful literary community,

In her new position as Manager of Literary Arts, Stephine Hunt is the community's primary point of contact for all official Institution CLSC and literary arts matters, at sh...@chq.org or 716-357-6255. Stephine had the opportunity to connect with Liz yesterday afternoon to clarify some of Liz's questions via a lovely chat. The CLSCbooks.org website is working, but it only works if you are first a member of the CLSC before trying to use it. You can become a member of the CLSC by purchasing a membership through the Chautauqua Bookstore at chautauquabookstore.com.

As noted on the CLSC Class of 2024 Graduation Application, one can graduate with the class of 2024 by completing the following:
  1. Candidates must have paid four years of membership dues ($40 total, and the years need not be consecutive, which can be paid online via the Chautauqua Bookstore at chautauquabookstore.com);
  2. Must have read and reported to the CLSC Octagon (via cl...@chq.org or using the website clscbooks.org) any 12 titles from the CLSC historic booklist (available for free online at chq.org/clsc);
  3. Must have paid the initial year of class dues ($25), payable by cash or check only, which can be sent to PO Box 28, Chautauqua, NY 14722; and
  4. Must have completed an application for graduation, all of which must be submitted to the CLSC Octagon by the application deadline. An application can be found at clsc.chq.org
We’re looking forward to celebrating the CLSC Class of 2024 this summer! More information for potential graduates who have already submitted these materials will be forthcoming via email in late May/early June.
