i had either forgotten or never heard "poor man's daughter".
i see that it's a retribution gospel choir song who i guess i never really listened to.
i shall remedy that.
anyone going to upload this to archive.org?

Shame on you Def for never listening to RGC. Poor Man's Daughter was my favourite of theirs. But I don't recall that Low also played it.

Thanks for sharing the link Mike, I don't visit TTD that often. I'll share it on archive.org if nobody beats to it.

Stay safe y'all.

RGC rocks!! I've seen them 3-4 times live (I lost count) and it was always so much fun. Basically very raucous Low minus Mimi.

Agreed! And seeing them when the band included Mark Kozelek was an all time favorite show for me.

being a low fanatic it is odd that i never saw any iteration of rgc.
i was just reminscing about seeing alan with haley bonar in baltmore in 03 tho.
she had really sexy red boots on and i continue to be a fan
and in the process i stumbled upon a list of chairkickers
webmistress catherine lewis' shows she attended
which was such an incredible time capsule.

Yeah, that Kozelek tour was really cool. I sad them at Berbati's Pan in Portland. That had to be their first time out and Matt was still playing bass.

I've uploaded the Low set to Archive.org at https://archive.org/details/low2004-02-07.sony_wm-f46.flac16

And if you want to hear and watch a stunning version of Poor Man's Daughter by RGC, check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDum2coNe1g
Their live sets are of course also available on Archive.org: https://archive.org/details/RetributionGospelChoir

There's only one other live set on there by Low where they played this song: https://archive.org/details/low2004-02-28.aud
