Hi All,

Looking for some technical help for my wife's school.  They have 2 NEC 305P projectors which have red/orange light showing a lamp problem.  Both lamps have been replaced, but lamp warning light is still constant.  All filters were cleaned.  As the projector can not be powered on, the lamp and filter hours cannot be reset.

Is there another fault that could be causing this problem?  Anyone come across this issue and know of a solution?

Many thanks as always

Ciarán

Ciarán

The projector is reset from the remote. It is quite simple and I have had to do it in a number of schools. Unfortunately it is so long since I did it I cannot remember sequence.

The person you got the lamps from should have done it for you or should be able to assist. It only takes less than a minute.

If they cannot help then phone Equinox in Dublin or NEC in the UK and they will talk you through it.

Kindest regards

Some NEC models can be reset by holding the power button down before plugging in.

Hi Ciarán

Start the projector and let it enter standby mode.
Then on the remote controller
Press and hold the left arrow and right arrow buttons
While those two remote buttons are held down, press and hold the power button on the projector until the lamp indicator light  flashes twice, that indicates the lamp hours are reset.

If that fails
Press the Menu button on the projector, scroll until you see the Default Option and select it, then from the sub-menu select clear lamp settings.
