Hi All,

We'd like to have an approval queue on our Moodle forums but we're being advised by the Moodle provider that this isn't possible on core Moodle. That seems crazy to me! Has anybody done this successfully some other way? At the moment ours auto-approve, so we've ended up with offensive content posted...

Thanks,

Ciara

Hi John thanks for the suggestion, yes I have. The rationale is based on ethos more than functionality, so there are no plans to develop moderation of forums on Core Moodle. The Moodle rationale is that a clear code of conduct, and issuing of warnings/removal of learners breaching this should be sufficient.  I see where they are coming from, but I still wonder if anybody has managed to achieve moderation through particular plugins. I haven't come across anything on the Moodle forums in this regard.
