Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what could be the issue here - we have a number of Promethean activpanels in our infant rooms - I’ve installed the driver to allow for touch features / calibration etc but the touch function is playing up and stops working at least once per week. The only way I can get it to work again is to go back into the driver download and select Repair after running again.

Would anyone know what might be causing this and how to fix it ?

Any help greatly appreciated,

Thanks,
Robert

Could it be the USB port? I had a similar issue and changed the port I was using and it made a world of difference.

Hi Robert,

If you are using the latest driver on Windows 10 or 11 computers it's probably a firmware update that's needed on the boards. We had an issue after laptops updated to a newer version of Windows 10 think it was 20h1 and they stopped interacting with the device. Something to do with how hid drivers are handled.... can't exactly remember the details.

Following link might help
and type in firmware update 300

Hope this helps,
Colm

Rob are they panels or boards?

What version of Panel (or board) are you having the issue with?

As an aside are you using a HP 250 or 255 laptop as I have had issues with that model of laptop and certain panels?

I have seen the issue you describe on boards (particularly SmartBoards) but never on a panel.

Is the USB lead too long? Keep it as short as possible.

Cannot see it being  a driver issue myself.

If it is a panel does interactivity work using android in panel?

If a board I would check firmware is latest version.
