FREE Event for New STEM Primary Subject Area - Saturday 18th October - Portlaoise

After the success of last years event, we are delighted to announce the details for the
FREE event for the New STEM Primary Subject Area - Saturday 18th October - Portlaoise. We are hoping to bring together teachers at any level to upskill in Digital Technology (From Primary school to second and third level who have an interest in the new primary
curriculum).
This year we will have 3 workshops for you to choose from:
Introduction to Micro:bit and Rangers

Get started with the BBC micro:bit and unlock its classroom potential.

Explore the unplugged world of the Rangers offline coding kit.

Gain practical skills to make coding fun, accessible, and engaging.
Micro:bit and AI

Learn the basics of artificial intelligence in a simple, hands-on way.

See how AI concepts can be applied with the micro:bit in class.

Empower students to explore the future of technology today.
STEM Across Subjects Project Workshop

Discover how to bring multiple curriculum strands together with STEM.

Create one cohesive project that connects science, tech, math, and more.

Walk away with a ready-to-use lesson plan for your classroom.
We will also have exiting panel discussions that bring the teacher's voice to the forefront
and an exciting Digital Technology Competition to get all teachers involved on the day. And of course we will have plenty of coffee and hot lunch to keep you going throughout the day! The best part, it is completely
